East Lothian Flower Farm

East Lothian Flower Farm was founded in 2016 by Debbie Scott, growing childhood favourites in her small back garden.  Scented sweet peas, dahlias, cornflowers and roses thrived and were snapped up by friends and family.  After attending a Flower Farmer course by Gill Hodgson, founder of Flowers From The Farm, the dream has grown from garden to field.

Bringing a former historic kitchen garden back into production on the Lennoxlove Estate near Haddington, ELFF took on 0.3 acres,  expanding to 1 acre of growing space over the last year.

The unique flowers and foliage are sold locally in bouquets, at farmers markets, and direct to customers from the field.  Wholesale flowers go direct to florists for events, weddings and photoshoots. Flowers can also be purchased for DIY weddings and gifts, with workshops and pick-your-own classes also introduced this year.

Sustainability is embedded in all the practices at ELFF from using soil association certified compost, growing flowers to encourage diversity,  recycling pots, making compost and using recyclable practices in floristry.

With a passion for land nature and growing, ELFF strives to work with the Flowers from the Farm Network to revitalise and promote the Scottish cut flower industry, getting more locally grown blooms into Scottish vases.
